Craig works closely with both tutors and learners to find work placement opportunities that will give the learners the added benefit of industry experience. With a vast experience and passion for education, Craig is committed to providing the best opportunities for our learners.

Gavin Owen

Work Placement Officer

Gavin is one of three Work Placement Officers! Having come from a background of studying an MA in Digital Media at Cardiff University and a BA in Journalism at the University of the West of England, he has a passion for writing and found various work placements throughout university to be inspiring experiences. This is his first job in the education sector and he is very excited to help students fulfil their potential and discover career paths and placements that can accommodate their needs. Outside of work he is a keen musician, often performing with a few different bands.

Lucas Eldridge

Careers Coach

Lucas is one of our four Careers Coaches, having moved over from the Work Placement Team in Careers & Ideas.

He aims to assist in fostering growth and building skills within learners, engaging with people from all walks of life to find suitable progression – whether that be within college, onto university or in industry.

Outside of work, Lucas is a musician, songwriter and dog dad.

Abi Bailey

Enterprise Officer

Abs is our Enterprise Officer here at CAVC, working with the Aspire team.

Coming from a background as a freelance illustrator and enterprise educator, Whether they’re just starting out, or need support with an established project, she’s here to help any learners who might want to start their own business. She can also help staff to integrate enterprise into their teaching, and arrange fun and engaging enterprise experiences within the college.

Outside of work she can usually be found at her desk drawing, or playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Suki Patwal

Events Officer

Meet Suki our little bundle of fun and energy who also happens to be our Events and Enrichment Officer.

Suki always welcomes everyone she meets with a smile and has a passion for organising events and enhancing employment opportunities for our learners. If you are a business or organisation that is looking to collaborate with CAVC then get in touch with Suki and if you are a learner and have some ideas regarding events then come through she is always happy to listen to your thoughts. The more ideas the better!

Fun Fact: Suki is a furr mamma to her little Murphy, she loves a good chat and enjoys cooking in her spare time.
